Funko and Universal Products and Experiences have shared a new story trailer for Funko Fusion, which is coming to Nintendo Switch.
In this, we learn about the game’s villain Eddy who has the dark ability to possess those that inhabit Funko Fusion’s pop culture-inspired worlds. Building an army of corrupted characters, you must fight back by building your own team of playable heroes
Meet Eddy. With the dark ability to possess the inhabitants of Funko Fusion’s pop culture-inspired worlds, Eddy is building an army of corrupted characters from franchises including Jurassic World, Back to the Future, The Thing, Chucky, and many more. Fight back, build your own team of playable heroes, each with unique tools for use in both combat and puzzles.
10:10 Games has looked to deliver a “co-op action extravaganza built around some of the biggest brands and characters in pop culture,” which, whether in single-player or co-operatively online, will pay tribute to NBCUniversal’s beloved worlds and irreverent Funko Pop! interpretations of the characters who inhabit them.
Drawing from more than 20 franchises, that will range from blockbuster movies like Jurassic World, JAWS, Back to the Future, The Thing, Shaun of the Dead and Chucky to hit TV series such as Battlestar Galactica, The Umbrella Academy and Masters of the Universe.
Those who pre-order Funko Fusion will receive a themed The Walking Dead Pack at launch, including Rick Grimes and Michonne Hawthorne from Skybound’s award-winning The Walking Dead comic books. This will also include Variant Outfits for both characters – Rick Grimes as Alexandria’s Leader and Michonne in her Traveler outfit.
Funko Fusion will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 13 September 2024.
