Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that its free-to-play online multiplayer battle royale game My Hero Ultra Rumble is coming to Nintendo Switch.
From developer Byking, this is another experience based on the popular anime series and will challenge you to join one of eight three-player teams as Heroes or Villains as you battle it out on expansive citywide maps.
You will be able to make the most of classic My Hero characters’ Quirks to attack your enemies and cooperate with your teammates to survive confrontations – contributing to your team’s victory by rescuing or intimidating civilians on the field to receive powerful items that can help determine the outcome of the battle.
“The world of My Hero and its colourful cast of Heroes, Villains, and their Quirks provide the perfect setting for a fun and frenzied free-to-play Battle Royale experience that remains faithful to the series’ themes and strengths,” explains Bandai Namco Entertainment producer Aoba Miyazaki. “We’re eager to share our take on team-based Heroes vs. Villains gameplay through our first Closed Beta test, and we can’t wait to work with the community to make My Hero Ultra Rumble a thrilling Battle Royale experience for fans and players of online multiplayer games.”
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features as below:
- Become the hero or villain you want to be: Choose your favourite characters from a quirky roster divided into 5 archetypes: Strike, Assault, Rapid, Technical, and Support.
- Form the ultimate squad: Leap into the fray with 2 other quirk users and fight for victory!
- Collect items and get stronger: Find items and defeat opponents to improve your abilities and get the upper hand over other teams!
- Customize your experience: Unlock new characters and new customization options by gaining experience and winning rewards.
My Hero Ultra Rumble will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
