Nintendo has teamed up with Mojang and Microsoft to release the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack exclusively for Minecraft Wii U Edition, which will become available as a free game update next week.

This will see each game’s respective world collide, with players promised immediate access to new skins, a Super Mario-themed pre-made world, and a set of Super Mario-themed music and item textures – all taking inspiration from Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and more.

The 40 new Super Mario-themed skins will let you transform the game’s characters into heroes such as Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach, as well as mischievous troublemakers like Bowser, Wario and all seven of Bowser’s minions. All world and item textures will also be redone, while players can enjoy listening to 15 pieces of music from Super Mario 64.

Hammer Bros. and Dry Bones will also replace the Creepers and Zombies that normally wander Minecraft’s block-built worlds, which you will have to fend off.

The Super Mario Mash-Up Pack will release as a free game update for Minecraft Wii U Edition on May 18th.
