Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics have announced that those who own Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft on the original Nintendo Switch can soon upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version for free.
With the free update promised to be “coming soon,” the Nintendo Switch 2 version will have an enhanced resolution of 1440p at 60 frames per second when played docked and 1080p resolution at 120 frames per second in handheld mode.
The news was shared alongside the free Challenge Mode content update, which adds a new mode with level difficulty customisation alongside new outfits and achievements for those “seeking the ultimate test of their skills across the trilogy.”
The new Challenge Mode update for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft includes:
- New Challenge Mode: Test your skills with new difficulty customisation options! Modify health, damage, bonuses, enemies, and more to create new challenges with endless replayability. The higher the challenge rating, the more you’ll unlock!
- 10 New Outfits: Complete achievements to unlock 10 new Lara Croft outfits with upgraded abilities to push you further on your next run. Each new outfit offers new bonuses like the ability to run faster, dive deeper, and fight harder!
- 15 New Achievements: Increase your achievement and trophy collection with the addition of new Challenge Mode achievements.
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft is now available at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
