Bayonetta 2 director Yusuke Hashimoto has confirmed that the sequel will incorporate Nintendo cosplay costumes as unlockables for players to purchase from Rodin.
As with Bayonetta’s Wii U version, these will include: Mushroom Kingdom Princess, where Bayonetta can summon Bowser’s hands and feet to trample enemies; make defeated foes drop Rupees with Hero of Hyrule; and Galactic Bounty Hunter which equips Bayonetta with a plasma cannon and allows her to roll into a morph ball.
Bayonetta 2 will also have an exclusive costume in Star Mercenary, based on Fox McCloud from the Star Fox series. This gives her furry ears and a bushy tail, while equipping her with Arwing-shaped laser pistols complete with lock-on sounds.
Bayonetta 2 will release exclusively for Wii U across Europe and North America on October 24th.
