Epic Games has released a new software update for Fortnite on Nintendo Switch, bringing changes to the free-to-play battle royale game to version 5.1.0 on the portable home console.
That has pushed live the birthday event challenges and seen the Playground Limited Time Mode make a return. But, for those interested, there are also some specific changes for the Nintendo Switch version.
Those come in a change to the gyro motion that now rotates “around the roll instead of the yaw,” meaning that players can “hold the device in any situation and always have the motion react according to the screen direction instead of being in the Switch’s world space.”
There are also changes to the portable home console’s “audio panning logic,” so that sounds “panning from one side to another will be more dramatic.”
Epic Games has broken down the extensive update, which also brings changes to Supply Drop loot rates, building materials and the Storm Circle.
