Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is upon us, and, with that, Epic Games has started to tease what surprises it has in store for us through a series of Reality Log transmissions.

It is speculated that these could refer to the skins that players will be able to unlock as part of the Season 5 Battle Pass, revealing a character called Maeve who is known as a shape-shifting Wildheart and a vengeful spirit called Condor.

Fortnite Reality Log 1987 :: #1 of 6 Target Description: Defender – Shapeshifter

“Reality Log 1987. Why is every jungle in every reality crawling with venomous snakes and strange predators?” the transmission starts. “Whatever. It’ll all be worth it once I find Maeve. Locals around here call her a Wildheart. That’s a shapeshifter to you and me. Rumour has it that the Gods have granted her three forms: Shark, Harpy and… err, I don’t know, actually no one’s lived long enough to see the third one.”

Fortnite Reality Log 42 :: #2 of 6 Target Description: Spirit – Vengeful

“Reality Log 42. An ex-recruit goes by Condor. I finally got him to stop standing in the rain monologuing about cherry blossoms or whatever that was. According to local legend, he’s a vengeful spirit given to the emperor’s family centuries ago and passed down since. They say he’ll grant any wish for revenge, no matter how dark or terrible. So, let’s all be very careful what we wish for.”

Fortnite Reality Log 312 :: #3 of 6 Target Description: Fierce, Brave… Intimidating

“Reality Log 312. I got myself front row seats to see this guy in action. Now, that is a warrior. He’s got the intensity, the muscles, the willingness to do… that. Wow, that’s gross. Oh no. No, no, no. Look at these poor dummies coming for… turn back! This is not going to go the way you think. This guy might be a challenge to bring in.”

Fortnite Reality Log [Data Not Found] :: #4 of 6 Target Description: [Data Not Found]

“Oh, wow. Wow. Give me a second, my adrenaline’s just pumping. So this is a bounty hunter… a space bounty hunter. And we just took on a… I don’t even know, it was like nine buildings tall and super angry. But it had lasers and it was like *static* Zero-G moves in my heart is still really going wild because I thoughtthat this was the end but I didn’t even break a sweat. They’re going to be unstoppable on the island. I need to sit down. I am siitting down. Oh, wow. Huh.”

Fortnite Reality Log 3258 :: #5 of 6 Target Description: Sweet and… Delicious?

“Reality Log 3258. I can’t shake the feeling something’s hunting me. Well, whatever it is I wish it luck because I just ordered myself a killer breakfast. No seriously, you gotta see this guy he’s… stacked. Excuse me, can we get a Tako box for my friend here.”

Fortnite Reality Log 982 :: #6 of 6 Target Description: Bubbly and… Chaotic…

“Reality Log 982. You know at first I figured there must have been, I don’t know, some kind of mistake. The bounty hunter I’m tracking is supposedly this merciless psychopath, right? But Lexa here… well, she looks like she’s from planet friendship. Seriously, if you told me her best friend was a magical talking cat I would be zero percent surprised. But, as I learned firsthand, do not let her bubbly personality fool you, because when Lexa ain’t happy things get ugly.”

Fortnite is now available as a free download on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
