Epic Games has hinted that something big is about to happen in Fortnite, after players were startled to discover that a countdown timer has appeared on television screens in the free-to-play battle royale game on Nintendo Switch.
That timer appears to indicate that whatever the developer has planned will hit this week on Tuesday 19th June, and, while it isn’t particularly clear what it specifically relates to, players seem to have worked out what has been teased.
The countdown timer wasn’t the first thing that was beamed from the television screens. Players had spotted a skull symbol that matches the Evil Lair, that soon saw others discover that a hologram had appeared near a rocket. That could collectively point to the storyline seeing the villains igniting the rocket and causing more destruction on the map.
Whatever it is we won’t have to wait long to find out, at least!
