Former Rare staff seek support for “spiritual successor” to Banjo-Tooie

We sure do miss the days of Grunty’s rhyming taunts, yet it would appear we aren’t the only ones.

Under the moniker MingyJongo, a group of former Rare staff are aiming to drum up support to “make the spiritual successor to Banjo-Tooie!”

Those gathering to do so include composer Grant Kirkhope and artist Steven Hurst, and would be a 3D platformer just like its predecessor.

Crowd-funding through Kickstarter is being considered, as well as using the Unity Engine with whom Nintendo have recently partnered with for Wii U.
