With the Nintendo 3DS exclusive’s existence revealed little over a week ago by The Pokémon Company International, today’s Japan-only Nintendo Direct has provided us with a first glimpse at Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon.
As part of today’s Japan-only Nintendo Direct, we learn that all 720 Pokémon will make an appearance, with 20 being playable: namely: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Chespin, Chikorita, Chimchar, Cyndaquil, Fennekin, Froakie, Mudkip, Oshawott, Pikachu, Piplup, Riolu, Snivy, Squirtle, Tepig, Torchic, Totodile, Treecko, and Turtwig. Phew.
These are all shown in the trailer, which begins by the player discovering that they’ve been turned into a Pokémon. Beyond this, we see Dialga, Deoxys, Entei, Kyogre, Latias, Latios, Rayquaza, Reshiram, and Zekrom.
Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in Japan on September 17th, launching in North America and Europe later on.
