Joining the recently announced additions of Sonic, Toon Link and Peach, Nintendo have announced that Marth from the Fire Emblem series will return as a playable character.
Marth made his first appearance in the brawler series back in 2001’s Melee, later rejoining on Wii in 2008’s Brawl. The character is largely attributed with raising western interest in the Fire Emblem series, leading to Nintendo’s decision to begin localising titles to release internationally.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS will release in 2014.
