Nintendo has released a new software update for Fire Emblem: Three Houses to prepare the turn-based tactical role-playing game for launch.

This has corrected multiple bugs, added a link to the Nintendo eShop on the title screen and will let those that have bought the Expansion Pass change Byleth’s in-game costume.

In Fire Emblem: Three Houses, there are three noble houses in the Black Eagles, Blue Lions, and Golden Deer. These are part of the Officers Academy, which is an elite facility that trains students in the ways of weapons, magic, and special skills.

You will play as a professor and must choose one of the three houses to lead their students in grid-based battles with life-or-death stakes.

The houses each have many different students to meet and train, that each has his or her own personality and skills. They will interact with each other at the academy, strengthing their bonds in a way that will see them support each other on the battlefield.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on July 26th.

  • Added a Nintendo eShop link to the title screen from which you can access Additional Content as it releases.
  • The main character’s costume can now be switched in the room of the monastery. (By purchasing an expansion pass, you will be able to change to the “master’s cadet uniform”. “Professor cadet uniform” is reflected only in the abbey and in the case of common people in the battle.
  • Several issues have been fixed to improve the gameplay experience.
