Nintendo has revealed plans for the Fire Emblem: Three Houses Expansion Pass, which will see the turn-based, tactical RPG receive post-launch support through four waves of downloadable content.
Those that purchase the Expansion Pass standalone ($24.99) or in the Fire Emblem Three Houses + Expansion Pass bundle ($84.98) will gain access to the downloadable content as it is released.
That will unlock the Officers Academy outfits for male and female Byleth on launch day, with additional story content, auxiliary battle maps, quests, costumes, and playable characters to release in the coming months.

Wave 1: Officers Academy outfits for female and male Byleth available Day 1 (July 26th)
Wave 2: Additional Auxiliary battle maps, helpful in-game support items, and more will be released by 31st October 2019.
Wave 3: Additional quests and costumes will be released by 31st December 2019; plus, another free update
Wave 4: Discover new story content, with additional playable characters, locations and more will be released by 20th April 2020; plus, another free update.
In Fire Emblem: Three Houses, there are three noble houses in The Black Eagles, The Blue Lions, and The Golden Deer. These are part of the Officer’s Academy, which is an elite facility that trains students in the ways of weapons, magic, and special skills.
You will play as a professor and must choose one of the three houses to lead their students in grid-based battles with life-or-death stakes.
The houses each have many different students to meet and train, that each has his or her own personality and skills. They will interact with each other at the academy, strengthing their bonds in a way that will see them support each other on the battlefield.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on July 26th.
