You can use Skill Points (SP) to inherit skills from Emblem Ring characters in Fire Emblem Engage. Your units will earn SP throughout the game by battling with synced Emblems or having a Bond Ring equipped, which can be then spent to inherit skills in the Ring Chamber on the Somniel.
These can empower your units with enhanced stats, grant them unique abilities that can benefit them or even boost nearby allies. You will need to raise a unit’s Bond Level with each Emblem Ring character before you will have access to the skills that you can inherit from them, and the game warns that you cannot benefit from the same skill twice.
That means that you should make sure that the skill that you choose for a unit to inherit doesn’t match an active skill that the Emblem Ring they are wearing already has. You can’t stack the benefits of such skills, and this is something that Nintendo refers to as “overlapping” in the game.
