PM Studios and Skrollcat Studio have announced that Hoa 2 is in development for Nintendo Switch 2.
This sequel to the narrative adventure puzzle platformer “opens a long, long time after” the emotionally charged ending to the original game.
“The cycle of life brings her back to a homeland reshaped by time, and her old friends have long since passed,” the publisher explains in a press release. “Alone in a world both familiar and changed, Hoa must find new purpose in this gentle and heartfelt tale of change, of letting go and moving forward.”
The sequel builds on the original game while expanding it into new territory, a decision to transition to 3D promising “a completely new way to experience Hoa’s world.” You can expect “richer, ever-unfolding environments, brain-teasing spatial puzzles, and delightful platforming,” with secrets to discover, minigames, achievements and rewards to earn.
“Hoa has gone through a lot, and the world reflects what goes on inside her: freedom to explore with greater openness and mobility, but also a feeling of loss that comes with its own lesson,” explains Skrollcat Studio founder and game designer Son Tung Cao. “Our task is to reflect this in both gameplay and world-building, and continue to tell Hoa’s story.”

Hoa 2 will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide in 2026.
