Nintendo has shared which games will release on the Wii U Virtual Console service in Japan next week.
First released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, Final Fantasy V Advance was the second time that the JRPG was ported. As with their other efforts, Tose brought to Game Boy Advance with expanded content and numerous gameplay tweaks. That covered four new jobs (Cannoneer, Gladiator, Necromancer and Oracle), a new dungeon called The Sealed Temple, an optional boss named Enuo that was designed by Tetsuya Nomura, and a revised English translation.
That will release on Wednesday 20th April, and is accompanied by PC Engine’s Ai Cho Aniki and Famicom Wars DS (Advance Wars). I have to say, I was surprised that the Nintendo DS strategy title hadn’t already seen release on the service, but those in Japan have likely been busying themselves with Fire Emblem Fates.
