AWR Music Productions have announced that they will begin a new Final Fantasy concert series in London early next year, coinciding with the western release of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.

From the creative minds behind ‘Distant Worlds: music from Final Fantasy,’ ‘A New World: intimate music from Final Fantasy’ will once again feature compositions from Nobuo Uematsu, as well as promising a performance of Final Fantasy VI’s “Dark World” by music director Arnie Roth and the Japanese composer himself.

The planned programme features string quartets, piano and guitar solos, duos, trios and other mixed groups of instrumentalists.

“For this unique concert experience, we have mined the vast Final Fantasy musical catalogue to choose some of the most-loved selections,” explained Roth. “A New World will introduce audiences to the music from Final Fantasy on a personal and intimate scale that has yet to be experienced.”

It will take place on Saturday 15th February in London at the LSO St. Luke’s Jerwood Hall, with two performances at 2pm and 7pm GMT. Tickets will be on sale from December 18th priced at £50, with VIP tickets at £100 for those wanting to attend a post-concert meet-and-greet with Uematsu and Roth.
