Reggie Fils-Aime has stated that the Wii U will offer consumers “fantastic value – value defined as what you get, all of these great new experiences for what you pay, is going to be absolutely competitive.”
Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s president, was questioned as to whether the Wii U would be priced competitively with the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 upon release during an interview with Gametrailers. His answer? “Absolutely.”
“What I want to focus on is, is it going to offer the consumer a competitive value when it comes out? And the answer is, absolutely,” he continued.
Pressed further, Fils-Aime wouldn’t provide any more information and responded: “You’re talking price and I’m talking value,”
“What I’m saying is that it’s going to have a fantastic value – value defined as what you get, all of these great new experiences for what you pay, is going to be absolutely competitive.”
