Nintendo of America’s Reggie Fils-Aime has shared how, while listening to what their fans are clamouring for, they far prefer to “truly surprise” us by delivering “something unexpected.”
His comments came in recognition of the success that they’ve found in revisiting their past classics to bring us wholesome remakes on Nintendo 3DS, such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D.
“Nintendo fans are very vocal, and like any company, we pay attention to what people are saying,” Fils-Aime explained to GameSpot.
“But I think it’s helpful to repeat what we’ve said before. The only way to truly surprise someone is to deliver something unexpected. That’s really written into our corporate DNA.
“So moving forward, I guess it’s safe to say people can look forward to a combination of things they’ve always wanted… and things they never even thought of wanting.”
All eyes will now be on E3 2015’s Nintendo Digital Event next week to see exactly what surprises they have in store for us all…
