Eclipse Games has announced that Tachyon Project will release on Nintendo Switch, a twin-stick shooter that was heavily inspired by classic shoot ’em ups.

Players take control of Ada, a software program that was designed to hack into the most secure servers in the world. After being thrown out into the internet she will have to fight to uncover the truth about her creator’s disappearance.

The game has already been released on other platforms but the developer has positioned this as the definitive edition, with improved visuals, support for local multiplayer in Story mode, improved enemy creation effects, and redesigning the early levels to make them more interesting.

The story-driven experience sees the narrative presented in 10 levels that each have six progressively challenging waves. Success will reward the player with new weapons and perks that will help you overcome increasingly difficult odds and tougher enemies.

Tachyon Project will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch on January 25th, priced at £7.99 (€9.99/$9.99).
