Rising Star Games and Amplify Creations have teamed up to release Decay of Logos on Nintendo Switch, a third-person fantasy action role-playing game that takes inspiration from the developer’s passion for European folklore, high fantasy fiction, and archetypal classics in the genre.

Born from lead game designer and programmer André Constantino’s imagination, it weaves the tale of a girl and her elk companion who meet after her village is destroyed by one of the King’s sons. Battered and oblivious to who was behind the attack, she will not rest until she exacts her revenge. And while she is on her quest, she will uncover secrets about the King and his sons that will soon see her realise that all is not what it seems.

Decay of Logos invites you to explore a vast interconnected world that is packed with secret locations and items to discover. You will engage in deadly and punishing combat with otherworldly enemy constructs in a world filled with arcane lore, in which various weapon, armour, inventory and level-up systems and mechanics are at play.

“After many years developing middleware used by thousands of other game developers, our good fortune has allowed us to indulge in a passion project to make the kind of game that excites us as players,” explains Amplify Creations producer Diogo Teixeira. “Working alongside Rising Star Games has been both a pleasure and an enriching experience that will undoubtedly help us deliver a better product and reach a wider audience.”

Rising Star Games managing director Martin Defries, adds: “It is an honour to work alongside such a credible and visionary organisation as Amplify Creations, to help bring their incredible imagination to life in Decay of Logos. The game is striking, complex, subtle and beautiful all at once and enriches Rising Star Games’s portfolio of outstanding action games.”

Decay of Logos will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in autumn 2018.
