Weekly Famitsu has published its The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD review within the Japanese gaming magazine’s illustrious pages, delivering the first verdict on the remastered Wii classic.

That has seen their Cross Review, a panel that is comprised of four reviewers that each provides their own individual score, award the game with 34 out of a maximum possible score of 40 – which, broken down, saw it receive two 8 and two 9 scores.

The other Nintendo Switch game that they reviewed was Crayon Shin-chan: Ora to Hakase no Natsuyasumi – Owaranai Nanokakan no Tabi (32 out of 40).

With the chance to discover the origins of the Master Sword in what is the earliest story in The Legend of Zelda series, you will join Link as he sets out to save his childhood friend Zelda who must also confront her own destiny.

Soaring through the sky riding a Loftwing, you will journey between floating islands and descend to the treacherous surface world, swinging your sword and angling your slashes to break through your enemies’ defences with motion control or the newly-added button only control scheme.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 16th July 2021.
