We may not have been swayed by the over-the-top action in Devil’s Third, but Weekly Famitsu were suitably impressed by Tomonobu Itagaki’s latest.
The Japanese magazine’s four strong review team awarded the Wii U exclusive with an overall score at 33/40 (8, 9, 8 and 8), which made it the highest scoring game that was reviewed in this week’s issue.
Concluding in our preview, we wrote: “Whatever has happened behind closed doors, the end result sees Devil’s Third shaping up to be a disconcertingly inconsistent experience. But, it is how glaringly outdated Itagaki’s vision has been this time around that I share most concern about.”
The other Nintendo-related reviews were for Girls Like Robots on Wii U that scored 32/40 (8, 8, 8 and 8), and Puchikon Magazine: Soukangou on Nintendo 3DS which was scored 32/40 (6, 7, 9 and 8).
Devil’s Third releases exclusively for Wii U in Japan on August 4th, Europe on August 28th, Australia on August 29th, and in North America in Q4 2015.
