Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition Receives Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date

Bethesda Softworks has confirmed a release date for Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, news that was shared in today’s Nintendo Direct presentation.

From Bethesda Game Studios, after emerging from Vault 111 as the Sole Survivor, you must fight for your survival in the post-nuclear Commonwealth.

Having won more than 200 “Best of” awards including the DICE and BAFTA Game of the Year, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is pitched as “the ultimate celebration of a beloved classic.” It bundles in the base game, six official expansions (Automatron, Far Harbor, Nuka-World, and the Workshop expansions), and more than 150 Creation Club items.

That Creation Club content ranges from new weapons and different Dogmeat breeds like a husky or a Dalmatian to gameplay tweaks and quest expansions, promising something for every Vault Dweller.

The publisher has outlined the base game’s key features, which include:

Freedom and Liberty: Do whatever you want in a massive open world filled with hundreds of locations, characters, and quests. Join factions, forge alliances or go it alone. The choices are yours, and every one of them matters.
You’re S.P.E.C.I.A.L.: Create your own unique character with the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system. Choose from hundreds of Perks and develop your own playstyle, whether you’re a smooth-talking diplomat, stealthy sniper, or walking tank in Power Armor.

Violence and V.A.T.S.: Use the dynamic Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (V.A.T.S.) to slow down time in combat and target enemies with cinematic precision—or take the fight into your own hands with real-time gunplay.
Collect and Build: Scavenge, craft, and customise like never before. Build thousands of items – armor, weapons, food, and more – and even construct and manage entire settlements across the Commonwealth.

Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 24 February 2026. The game will receive a physical edition that will be released on 28 April 2026.
