PQube and FairPlay Studios have pushed back their side-scrolling action-platformer Fallen Knight, which will now release on Nintendo Switch “later this year.”

This futuristic knight’s tale sees you play as Lancelot the 49th, a descendant of one of the Knights of the Round Table from the Arthurian legend.

You must save the city from The Purge, an evil organisation that intends to reveal the truth behind what is hidden beneath it.

Your journey will not only shine a light on such secrets but challenge what it truly means to be a knight, with the experience promising “an unforgiving challenge with punishing boss battles,” dynamic platforming with a multi-dash mechanic and multiple endings.

Fallen Knight will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide later this year.
