NIS America has announced that it will release The Longest Five Minutes on Nintendo Switch.

Developed by Nippon Ichi Software and SYUPRO-DX, the game’s premise will take you inside the mind of a hero during his final encounter with the Demon King.

As the young hero, called Flash Back, stands to face the origin of all evil, he suddenly can no longer recollect his adventure. His finishing moves, the name of his hometown, and even the reason why he’s trying to defeat the Demon King are all forgotten, leading the hero to feel as if he’s letting his allies down.

But, in the midst of battle, his party’s words and the Demon King’s taunts trigger flashbacks that will let him regain his memories piece by piece. These memories are played out in a classic 8-bit RPG style, with whatever their outcome either strengthening or weakening your party as they face their final battle.

The Longest Five Minutes will release for Nintendo Switch in Europe and North America in early 2018.
