indie.io and Smash Attack Aus have confirmed a release date for their upcoming sci-fi drone 2D platformer Nullstar: Solus on Nintendo Switch.

Speed is of the essence in this precision platformer, in which you will be challenged to guide your drone through 80 bite-sized levels.

You must overcome long-forgotten, overgrown chambers and corridors, confront ancient dangers and negotiate mechanical and organic hazards as you search for the most powerful energy source in existence.

Designed to be easy to learn but challenging to master, each level will offer you the freedom to choose your path with a thruster system opening up the chance for skilled players to pursue faster times.

“When we started Nullstar in mid 2024, it was a way for me to claw back some personal goals in game development,” explains Smash Attack Aus’ Dean Baron. “I didn’t expect it to become this amazing journey where I was joined by incredible developers from all over the world. Nullstar is a love letter to games from all of us who worked on it, and we are excited that it is now ready to be shared with the world. Remember pilots. Be. Faster.”

Nullstar: Solus will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 16 April 2026.
