Initially thought to have been scheduled for release back in June, Codemasters have confirmed that F1 Race Stars: Powered Up Edition will screech its way to the Nintendo eShop in December.

Players will race as a cast of Formula One heroes transformed into cartoon form, with drivers such as Jensen Button, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel speeding their way to claim pole position – employing the use of power ups to gain an edge on the competition.

This souped up version promises four extra tracks and nine accessory packs beyond that of what was included in the original game on other platforms, with players making their way around action-packed circuits spread across Europe, China, India and Canada among others.
