SMOKOKO has confirmed a release date for RACE: Rocket Arena Car Extreme on Nintendo Switch.
This explosive vehicular combat racing game throws you into a post-apocalyptic world of armoured cars, deadly tracks and all-out warfare.
In each race, speed, firepower and survival will determine who rules the arena. With 21 unique cars to choose from across three classes (Speedster, Gunner and Crusher), each vehicle offers its own ultimate ability, upgrade path and unlockable body kits.
Tearing around each track, you must master weapons from rocket salvos and mini-missiles to teleportation abilities, with the chance to topple five bosses across eight locations.
“Bringing RACE to Nintendo Switch is a major milestone for SMOKOKO,” the developer explains. “We’ve built something that players can enjoy with friends on the couch or anywhere on the go — and we can’t wait to see the Nintendo community experience the chaos.”
The developer has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- 20+ hours of combat racing in Career mode
- 12 supported languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Polish, and more
- 21 unique cars with ultimate abilities, upgrade paths, and exclusive body kits
- 3 car classes: Speedster, Gunner and Crusher
- 4 game modes: Career, Event, Season (with daily challenges and leaderboards), and Local Split-Screen
- Local split-screen multiplayer for up to 4 players on a single Nintendo Switch
- 8 distinct locations and 5 unique bosses
- Wide range of weapons and abilities: rockets, mini-missiles, teleport, and more
- Full support for TV Mode, Tabletop Mode, and Handheld Mode
- Joy-Con and Nintendo Switch Pro Controller support, plus touch screen
- Save Data Cloud Backup supported via Nintendo Switch Online
RACE: Rocket Arena Car Extreme will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 25 June 2026.
