Motion Twin has announced that Dead Cells will release on Nintendo Switch, a roguevania action-platformer that will let players explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle.

That’s assuming that you are able to fight your way past its keepers, the game’s completion requiring that players can master fluid, fast-paced combat with the ever-present threat of permadeath looming. No checkpoints. Kill, die, learn, repeat.

You can unlock new levels with every death that presents a chance to take a new path, while secret rooms and hidden passages await those that explore every nook and cranny.

“We’re thrilled to finally confirm that we’ll be bringing the Dead Cells experience to console players,” shared Motion Twin producer Steve Filby.

“We’re proud of what we’ve done with the help of the PC community and can’t wait to see how the gaming community at large react. We’ll be at Pax East next April, so come say hi! You might even get a sneak peek at the game on the console.”

Dead Cells will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in 2018.
