United Label and Polygon Treehouse have revealed that Röki will release on Nintendo Switch, news that was shared in this week’s Indie World presentation.
This adventure game has taken inspiration from wintry Scandinavian folklore, resulting in a dark contemporary fairy tale that the developer explains is “underpinned by a touching narrative, alluring art style, ancient puzzles and atmospheric exploration.”
You play as Tove, who sets out on a fantastical journey to save her family. That will take her deep into a hidden and long-forgotten world of lost folklore, crammed with strange locations and ancient, magical creatures.
Your progress will be charted in Tove’s trusty journal, mapping uncharted regions while collecting loot and earning wilderness explorer badges.
Röki will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide this winter.
