Exclusive Reveal: Three Cards From Pokémon TCG: Sword And Shield – Darkness Ablaze

Mew V Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield – Darkness Ablaze

We have teamed up with The Pokémon Company International to exclusively reveal three cards – Scizor VMAX, Mew V and Decidueye – from the upcoming Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield – Darkness Ablaze expansion that releases this week.

Those three cards come with wonderful illustrations drawn by 5ban Graphics, PLANETA Mochizuki and Ryota Murayama, which you can :

Scizor VMAX Card

Scizor VMAX Card Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield – Darkness Ablaze

Steely sinew strikes hard with Scizor VMAX! Scizor’s pincers are strong enough to break rock, but when Dynamaxed this power becomes unstoppable, with Max Steelspike dealing an incredible 190 damage for only three Energy! Alternatively, toughen up your defences with Hard Scissors, which reduces damage taken by 30!

Mew V Card

Mew V floats back onto the battlefield! Though Mew is said to be able to learn any Pokémon move, this time it brings the powerful X Ball attack! This attack grows in strength by 30 damage the more Energy is attached to both Active Pokémon, so you can use your opponent’s power against them. Mew V might be cute, but don’t underestimate it!

Decidueye Card

From deep in the woods, the Arrow Quill Pokémon Decidueye returns to stand against the tide of Pokémon V! Its Ability Deep Forest Camo is the perfect counter to big-hitting Pokémon V and Pokémon-GX, rendering their attacks unable to deal any damage to Decidueye. Sneaky!

The Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield – Darkness Ablaze expansion will introduce seven Pokémon VMAX, 14 Pokémon V, 9 full-art Pokémon V, 17 Trainer cards, four full-art Supporter cards and three new Special Energy cards.

This includes Charizard VMAX, Centiskorch VMAX and Grimmsnarl VMAX in their Gigantamax forms, and the Legendary Pokémon Eternatus VMAX in its unique Eternamax form.

The Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield – Darkness Ablaze expansion will release worldwide on 14th August 2020.

For those that are eager to get started, the Pokémon TCG Sword and Shield – Darkness Ablaze Build & Battle Box will be made available earlier on 1st August 2020.
