Nintendo has announced that Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is in development for Nintendo Switch 2, news that was shared in today’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
In this page-turning adventure, on the island where Yoshi and his friends live, a peculiar talking book called Mister Encyclopedia (or Mr. E for short) suddenly falls from the sky.
This mysterious book’s pages contain information about unusual creatures, so Yoshi decides to jump in and help investigate. As he wanders through the book, you will make all sorts of discoveries about the creatures that you encounter, which will then be written down.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide in Spring 2026.
