ATLUS and Deep Silver have announced plans to release Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth in North America and Europe.
The Nintendo 3DS exclusive is the fifth main instalment in the long-running Etrian Odyssey series and will chronicle the quest of a new adventurer as they reach the top of the towering Yggdrasil Tree. It is said that those who brave the danger of the dreaded Yggdrasil Labyrinth and reach the summit will have their greatest wish fulfilled.
After creating your party, players will set out from the home base city of Iorys to test their survival skills by navigating the winding floors of Yggdrasil, taking down gruesome beasts in turn-based battles, and charting your path on the touch screen.
With four unique races, 10 distinct classes, more customisation options than any previous game in the series, and a streamlined skill tree, Beyond the Myth will let you shape your party however you wish.
That’s all rounded out with a magical art style penned by longtime series illustrator Yuji Himukai, and a signature musical score written by renowned composer Yuzo Koshiro.
Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in Europe and North America later this year, priced at £34.99 (€39.99).
