Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight adventures to North America

Etrian Odyssey II Untold The Knight of the Fafnir

ATLUS have announced that they will bring Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight to North America this summer, the seventh entry in their popular dungeon-crawling series.

As with Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl, this will be split between Classic and Story modes. Classic will see players adventure their way through the original Etrian Odyssey 2: Heroes of Lagaard complete with spruced graphics, new graphics and system improvements. Whereas Story will trace events decades later where the player becomes a Fafnir Knight sworn to protect their childhood friend, Princess Arianna of Caledonia – joining Flavio, Bertrand and Chloe to explore the Ginnungagap ruins to discover the origins of the Fafnir Knight.

Fafnir is a new class to the Etrian series, seeing players turn into a beastly demonic form that enhances attributes and abilities. Those wanting to simply experience the narrative can choose a Picnic mode difficulty, with Expert mode being available for more hardcore players. While details on pre-order bonuses and DLC Support will be made down the line.

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight will launch exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in North America this summer.
