The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has issued a rating for Kirby and the Forgotten Land on Nintendo Switch, suggesting that Nintendo is readying the pink puffball’s next outing for launch on the portable home console.

“This is an action-adventure game in which players help Kirby save kidnapped creatures from evil forces,” the ESRB rating reads. “Players traverse 3D platforms while collecting coins, solving puzzles, and using Kirby’s abilities to battle cartoony enemies (e.g., mushrooms, foxes, giant turtles).

“Players use swords, bombs, and blaster-type pistols to defeat enemies; some weapons allow players to use targeting/crosshairs for ranged firing. Boss battles can be frenetic, with laser fire, explosions, and projectiles flying at Kirby, often from a close-up perspective.”

Revealed in September’s Nintendo Direct, in Kirby and the Forgotten Land you will have the chance to explore freely in the pink puffball’s new 3D platformer, using Kirby’s copy abilities as you explore a mysterious setting filled with abandoned structures from a past civilisation.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Spring 2022.

  1. This game is going to be the one of GOAT Kirby games just like Super Mario 64 revolutionized the way we play Mario games. It became the gold standard.
