The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has outed two Game Boy classics from Japanese publisher Jaleco presumably headed for the Nintendo 3DS’ eShop service that is due to release later this month.

The first is Avenging Spirit, a platform/ action title that was previously released in 1992 for the Game Boy in which the player takes control of a wandering spirit with the power to possess others as you set out to save your bereaved girlfriend from the clutches of a mysterious crime syndicate.

Next up is Fortified Zone, a top-down shoot-em-up that allows players to switch between two characters, Masato and Mizuki, who each have their own strengths and weaknesses.

The ESRB rating confirms both for a release in North America, but I’m sure they’ll also make their way to Europe as well.

It’s certainly great to be learning of the content that is soon to be headed in the direction of Nintendo 3DS owners, but which Game Boy classics would you like to see?
