iam8bit and Skybound Games have teamed up with Coin Crew Games to release Escape Academy: The Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch. This will include the base game along with its Escape from Anti-Escape Island downloadable content and the upcoming Escape from the Past downloadable content.
After enrolling at the prestigious Escape Academy, you will be challenged to become the ultimate escape room master. Whether playing solo or in local or online co-op, you will have the chance to meet the faculty, solve puzzles and uncover an underlying mystery.
Once you have passed your classes with flying colours, you can continue your journey with the Escape from Anti-Escape Island downloadable content “which calls for deciphering new and difficult puzzles in a vacation gone wrong.” And then Escape from the Past is “a prequel that spans five new rooms and even more whodunit action with Academy students Sandra Solange and Eel Barnes as they join the unstoppable team of master Escapists” that you meet in the game.
“The feedback we received the most from players was more, more, more,” explains Coin Crew Games co-founder Wyatt Bushnell. “We’ve been working tirelessly on delivering that. This version of the game is jam-packed with puzzles of every difficulty level and new storylines.”
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- Play over 20 masterfully hand-crafted rooms, designed by experienced experts in the field of REAL LIFE escape rooms.
- Experience the entirety of Escape Academy alone in single-player OR through two-player co-operative play. Available in local or online split-screen.
- Tournament of Puzzles pits player against player in a brand new, competitive versus mode. Featuring new mechanics, puzzles, and environments that utilize procedural generation to keep each race different from the last!
- Featuring Music and Sound Design by the one and only doseone (Gang Beasts, SLUDGE LIFE, Disc Room, Enter the Gungeon).
Escape Academy: The Complete Edition will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Fall 2023.
