Epic Games have teased that they are to unveil a new franchise this weekend, live on Spike TV’s Video Games Award show.

To coincide with their 20th Anniversary, design director Cliff Bleszinski has stated that the studio is set to showcase their latest project – an “entirely fresh and new experience”.

“Be sure to tune into the Spike TV Video Game Awards live on Saturday, I’ll be there with a big announcement”, Bleszinski remarked. “2011 marks the 20th Anniversary for Epic as a studio, and while we’ve been busy supporting Gears of War and Infinity Blade, we’ve got something new in store for you.

“It’s an entirely fresh and new experience we’ve been crafting at our North Carolina studio, and you won’t want to miss it.”

Whatever it is, let’s hope that we’ll be fortunate enough to have it one day grace the Wii U.
