The developer has looked to create a blend of “cinematic adventure and immersive branching dialogue” that takes inspiration from classic role-playing games.
The game will “explore mature themes in a city of anthropomorphic animals where species dictates social class.”
That will see you sniff out clues and evidence, interrogate a diverse cast of characters, solve stealth puzzles, and choose which leads to follow – backed with an original dark jazz soundtrack.
Backbone will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in early 2021.
