The Pokémon Company International has announced that dual-type cards are coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket this October.
The news was shared during a panel called Pokémon TCG Pocket: Cards, Creators & Clashes—From B Series to What’s Next at Pokémon XP, a major fan event that is being held alongside the 2026 Pokémon World Championships.
The panel brought together members of the development team from Creatures Inc., DeNA, and The Pokémon Company to offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at the evolution and future of Pokémon TCG Pocket.
With live battles with the developers, the panel also provided a sneak peek at new content coming to the game – with Mega Mewtwo X – a dual Psychic and Fighting-type card – revealed as being amongst the first new additions to be added to the game.
Pokémon TCG Pocket is now available on the App Store for iOS devices and Google Play for Android devices.
