DragonForce’s Through the Fire and Flames has debuted in Guitar Hero Live, making a headline appearance in Shred-a-Thon.
This special 5-day marathon will run until 3pm GMT on Monday 8th January, and has seen a special third channel added in GHTV.
The Shred-a-Thon playlist includes five tracks on repeat, which have been confirmed as:
- Alter Bridge – Cry of Achilles
- DragonForce – Through the Fire and Flames
- Megadeth – Hangar 18
- Lamb of God – Ghost Walking
- Trivium – Strife
Every track is Rival Challenge-enabled, letting players have the chance to compete head-to-head against a matchmade player. And, once the marathon has been completed, Through the Fire and Flames will be added to the game’s regular song catalogue.
“The Guitar Hero community is the lifeblood of the game, so we knew we had to do something huge to bring back one of the most beloved songs of all time,” comments FreeStyleGames creative director and co-head Jamie Jackson.
“Everyone at the studio has fond memories with Through the Fire and Flames, so we decided to take it up a notch and combine it with the toughest songs in the game hand-picked by us to create the ultimate challenge: a five-day shredder marathon. It’s time to crank it up to expert difficulty and show us what you got!”
Guitar Hero Live is now available worldwide for Wii U.
