Square Enix has announced plans to release the fourth major expansion for Dragon Quest X, news that was shared at their Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 event.

Gematsu reports that the expansion name roughly translates to 5,000 Year Journey to a Faraway Hometown and is set to release for Nintendo Switch and Wii U in Japan on November 16th.

That arrives after the main game nears release for Nintendo Switch across the country on September 21st.

This also marks the moment in time where Square Enix has shelved support for the Wii version, and, in doing so, will surely encourage players to move on to Nintendo Switch or Wii U.
