Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 tops this week’s software chart in Japan, edging out Dark Souls 3 for the crown in their respective week of launch.
Media Create shared that the Nintendo 3DS exclusive sold 368,665 copies, surpassing the 210,141 copies that Bandai Namco Entertainment’s punishing RPG sold. SEGA and Koei Tecmo saw success with their own new releases, while Pokkén Tournament sold another 28,331 copies to see it remain in the top five.
Hardware saw PlayStation 4 remain in pole position, with the Nintendo 3DS family of systems collectively selling another 31,099 units. However, Wii U saw a notable drop, falling down to 4,545 units.
