Nintendo has shared an eight-minute overview trailer for Drag x Drive, ahead of the Global Jam demo event that takes place from Saturday 9 – Sunday 10 August 2025.
First revealed within its Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 presentation, this new online three-on-three sports game experience, pronounced Drag and Drive, will challenge players to use mouse controls with both Joy-Con 2 at the same time to intuitively steer, speed up, perform tricks and make plays such as dunks.
We enjoyed our time with the unexpected game but expressed some concerns, concluding in our hands-on preview: “There are too many questions that remain about Drag x Drive to deliver a definitive verdict this early on. The dual mouse controls work better than I ever could have expected, but my predominant concern is whether it will be able to find and sustain an audience that actively plays it.”
Drag x Drive will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 14 August 2025.
