Nintendo has announced that it has partnered with LINE Corporation to “co-develop and jointly operate” Dr. Mario World for mobile devices.
This new free-to-play action puzzle game continues the company’s efforts to create more opportunities for consumers to engage with Nintendo IP beyond their dedicated platforms, such as Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS.
The news comes after shared their decision to delay Mario Kart Tour, “in order to improve quality of the application and expand the content offerings after launch.” It, too, is now scheduled for release in summer 2019.
Dr. Mario World will release for iOS and Android devices in early summer 2019, to be made available in approximately 60 countries and regions that will include Japan and the United States.
