Award-winning British period drama Downton Abbey has seen itself reimagined as a 16-bit game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).
Complete with chiptune theme, YouTube user Bill Kiley has transformed the cast of characters into pixels, including head butler Charles Carson, Earl of Grantham Robert Crawley and Maggie Smith’s iconic role as the Dowager Countess of Grantham, Violet Crawley.
The, perhaps sadly, non-existent game would task players with collecting jewels, cigars and investigating whether Downton’s cook Mrs. Patmore is out to poison Matthew.
