Bethesda Softworks has confirmed that DOOM 64 will release on Nintendo Switch in the coming months.

The classic first-person shooter was originally released for the Nintendo 64 in 1997, and, set after DOOM II, saw the lone Marine that had survived the horrors of Hell return to Earth to reclaim the planet from the demonic invasion that nearly left the human race extinct.

Midway Games was the developer behind DOOM 64, which was created under id Software’s watchful supervision.

The game introduced the laser-based Unmaker, which, after collecting three ancient artifacts in-game, would let the player shoot three laser beams at enemies.

DOOM 64 will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on November 22nd.
