Wales Interactive has announced that Don’t Knock Twice will release on Nintendo Switch next week.

This first-person supernatural horror game is based on a psychologically terrifying urban legend, where, in order to save her estranged daughter, a guilt-ridden mother must uncover the frightening truth behind a vengeful, demonic witch. One knock to wake her from her bed, twice to raise her from the dead.

It was developed in partnership with Ffilm Cymru Wales and Red and Black Films alongside the 2016 horror film of the same name that starred Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) and directed by Caradog James (The Machine), and will see players explore a grand manor house for hidden clues – wielding items to escape the terror that surrounds you.

“After nearly two years since the release of Soul Axiom on the Wii U, the Wales Interactive team are back and ready to give Nintendo fans a taste of what our studio has been up to over the years,” enthused Ben Tester, PR and communications manager at Wales Interactive.

“We are so excited to be releasing one of the first horror titles on the Switch and it can’t come at a better time with Halloween just around the corner. We’re looking forward to giving Switch gamers a fright on October 17th!”

Don’t Knock Twice will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on October 17th, priced at £9.99 / €12.49 / $12.49.
