Is Baldur’s Gate 3 coming to Nintendo Switch 2? It doesn’t sound like it. In a Reddit AMA, Larian Studios CEO and founder Swen Vincke was asked whether the role-playing game could come to the portable home console successor.
In response, Vincke wrote: “We would have loved to but it’s [sic] wasn’t our decision to make.”
Thankfully, it wasn’t all bad news. When asked if the new Divinity game that was recently announced at The Game Awards could come to Nintendo Switch 2, the answer was more positive.
The project’s technical director Bert van Semmertier responded: “We have just released Divinity Original Sin 2 for Switch 2! We love the platform and we will certainly consider Switch2 for the next Divinity game.”
Last month, the developer released Divinity: Original Sin 2 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, a free upgrade to those who already owned the game on Nintendo Switch that delivered a higher resolution and increased framerate.
